Meet Jose

Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, providing photojournalistic style wedding and portrait photography. I am a husband, dad of four, and “Papi” to seven grandchildren.  I am a proud 2nd generation Catholic Photographer, Air Force veteran, and Michigan State Spartan. Raised in Michigan and living around the world during my active duty years allowed me to call many people friends. My family and I have now called Oregon “home” for the last 19 years. As an honorary Oregonian, I don’t use an umbrella and try to go tent camping at least once a month, rain or shine. 

In 2007, following in my dad’s footsteps, I was inspired to start Joys of Life Photography. The name reflects the joys of the life my wife and I share and the joys of your life we hope to capture.  My goal is to photograph people’s genuine emotions in real-time in churches, halls, vineyards, barns, farms, or home. I always remain focused on capturing your emotions, smiles, and laughter.

I take pride in getting to know my clients, this ensures I am tuned in to your personal needs.  Since every photography event, whether an engagement, wedding, sacrament or other special day, is a unique experience, I will meet with you to discuss how I can best serve you.

Wedding Packages

Wedding packages start as low as $1,199. The packages are tiered into four investment levels with the ability to enhance each package.  This approach allows my clients to create their own package based on their dreams, budget, and desires.  For additional package details, please contact me for the latest package information and menu of available services.

All our packages include a complete digital JPEG collection of your wedding with limited copyrights release for your printing convenience and an online gallery to share with family and friends.

Private Sessions

Private sessions start at $399 and are perfect for engagements, elopements, senior and family portraits. These sessions are on-location; allowing me to be creative in parks, the city, your home, on the beach, in the forest, in the mountain range, at sunrise or sunset.
